Overview
Qinghai Normal University (QHNU) is located in Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province, on the northeastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. As a provincial key university and a doctoral degree-granting institution, it was founded in 1956 and has evolved through mergers into a comprehensive normal university with disciplines in arts, sciences, engineering, law, economics, management, and arts.
QHNU is a national base for training bilingual (Tibetan-Chinese) talents and a host institution for the HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test), giving it unique strengths in bilingual education and international Chinese language teaching.
