Anhui Polytechnic University

Anhui Polytechnic University (AHPU) is located in Wuhu, Anhui Province, at the heart of the Yangtze River Delta economic zone. It is a provincial key university with a strong focus on engineering and a multi-disciplinary approach.

Founded in 1935 as Anhui Private Nisi Senior Industrial School by the Spanish Catholic Jesuits, the university has undergone several transformations and was officially named Anhui Polytechnic University in 2010. As a project university under the National Basic Capacity Building Project for Central and Western Universities and a pioneer in the Ministry of Education's New Engineering initiative, AHPU enjoys a strong reputation in engineering education.

AHPU's flagship programs include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Textile Engineering, and Design, which are highly regarded in Anhui Province and nationally. The university is a key construction university in Anhui and has been selected for the National Basic Capacity Building Project for Central and Western Universities, as well as a national-level innovation and entrepreneurship education practice base.

In terms of industry reputation, AHPU has established close industry-university-research partnerships with numerous enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta, resulting in consistently high graduate employment rates. Additionally, as a national pilot university for intellectual property reform, the university excels in knowledge transfer and commercialization of research, providing strong support for students' innovative practices.

The university comprises 19 secondary colleges offering over 60 undergraduate programs, 18 first-level master's degree programs, and 15 professional master's degree categories. The faculty is highly qualified, with over 1,800 staff members, including more than 600 with senior professional titles.

The curriculum emphasizes New Engineering disciplines and innovation and entrepreneurship education, with AHPU being selected for the first batch of New Engineering Research and Practice Projects by the Ministry of Education.

AHPU has two campuses with a total building area of 757,300 square meters. The campuses are beautifully landscaped with high greenery coverage and feature modern teaching facilities. The library is well-stocked, sports venues are comprehensive, and student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning and internet access, ensuring comfortable living conditions.

Multiple student canteens offer diverse dining options to cater to different dietary needs. The campus is conveniently located, with easy access to Wuhu city center and the train station, facilitating travel and internships.
