Taizhou University

Taizhou University, located in the coastal city of Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, China, is a full-time public university approved by the Ministry of Education. Its roots trace back to 1907 as a normal school, and it officially became a four-year university in 2002, the same year it gained approval to recruit international students.

In 2021, it was authorized to confer master's degrees. The university is a pilot demonstration school for application-oriented construction in Zhejiang, and has been recognized as a National Model Unit for Greening and a Civilized Unit of Zhejiang Province.

Taizhou University is distinguished by its application-oriented approach, emphasizing industry integration and local service. Its flagship programs include teacher education (with a century-old tradition), medicine (built upon the former Taizhou Health School), engineering, and management.
