Liaoning University of Technology

Liaoning University of Technology (LUT) is located in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, a historic and culturally rich city with convenient transportation. As a provincial full-time multi-disciplinary university, LUT prioritizes engineering while coordinating the development of science, economics, management, and liberal arts.

Founded in 1951 and renamed in 2007, LUT has been selected as a key university under the national Midwest University Basic Capacity Building Project and is a host institution for Chinese Government Scholarship international students.

LUT's flagship programs are concentrated in engineering fields such as Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, Materials Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering and Automation, which enjoy high reputations in Liaoning Province and nationwide.

As a key university under the national Midwest University Basic Capacity Building Project and a Liaoning Province first-class discipline construction project, LUT has significant advantages in engineering disciplines. It is one of the first pilot schools for emergency management college construction, leading in emerging interdisciplinary fields like emergency management and safety engineering.

LUT boasts a strong faculty of over 1,350 members, including a high proportion of senior professors and experts who receive special allowances from the State Council. The curriculum emphasizes engineering while integrating science, economics, management, and liberal arts, forming a multi-disciplinary system.

Teaching combines theory with practice, supported by high-level experimental platforms such as the Virtual Simulation and Verification Training Center, with total teaching and research equipment valued at 381 million yuan.

LUT's campus covers over 630,000 square meters, featuring lush greenery and a pleasant environment ideal for study and life. The library holds over 1.38 million books and 720,000 e-books, providing rich academic resources.
