Bengbu Medical University

Bengbu Medical University, located in Bengbu City, Anhui Province, is a provincial-level general institution of higher education approved by the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1958 as Bengbu Medical College, it was officially renamed Bengbu Medical University in 2023.

As one of the first batch of pilot universities for the National Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program, the National College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program, and the Ministry of Education's '5+3' clinical medicine reform, the university enjoys a strong reputation in medical education.

Bengbu Medical University's flagship program is clinical medicine. It is among the first batch of pilot universities for reforming the training model of clinical medicine master's degree professional degree postgraduates and a pilot university for the Ministry of Education's '5+3' clinical medicine reform.

The university offers 6 first-level master's degree authorization points and 9 master's professional degree categories, covering medicine, science, management, and more. Clinical medicine, pharmacy, and nursing are highly regarded in Anhui Province and nationally.

The university boasts a strong faculty of nearly 6,700 staff, with a high proportion of senior professionals, many of whom are recognized in national and provincial talent programs. The curriculum integrates theory and practice; the clinical medicine program adopts a '5+3' integrated model (5-year undergraduate plus 3-year standardized residency training) to enhance clinical skills and research capabilities.

The university houses several provincial key laboratories and research platforms, such as the Anhui Provincial Clinical Medical Research Center and key laboratories of Anhui universities, supporting cutting-edge research in oncology, cardiovascular diseases, neuroscience, etc.

Bengbu Medical University's five campuses each have their own character. The main Longzihu campus is near Longzihu Scenic Area, featuring a beautiful environment and modern teaching facilities. The library is well-stocked with electronic resources and study spaces.

Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and private bathrooms for convenience. Multiple campus cafeterias offer diverse dining options. Sports facilities include a track field, basketball courts, tennis courts, and an indoor gymnasium.
