Shenyang Medical College

Shenyang Medical College (SMC) is located in the Northern University Town of Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China. It is a full-time undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education and a demonstration university for application-oriented transformation in Liaoning.

Founded in 1949 and upgraded to an undergraduate college in 1987, SMC has over 70 years of history. The campus covers 488,000 square meters with a building area of 262,700 square meters. It enrolls 15,350 full-time students, including 12,440 undergraduates, 743 postgraduates, and 463 international students from Asia, Africa, Europe, and beyond, creating a multicultural atmosphere.

SMC's flagship programs include clinical medicine, nursing, preventive medicine, and medical laboratory science. Clinical medicine is the most prestigious, supported by strong faculty and clinical resources. The college is a doctoral degree authorization construction unit in Liaoning, with 4 first-level master's degree authorization points, 5 professional master's degree authorization points, and 1 postdoctoral research workstation.

It received an excellent evaluation in the 2007 undergraduate teaching assessment and is an advanced unit for degree and graduate education. SMC emphasizes practice-oriented training, partnering with hospitals and enterprises for internships, resulting in high graduate employment rates.
