Linyi University

Linyi University (LYU) is a full-time public undergraduate university located in Linyi City, Shandong Province, China. It is among the first batch of universities supported for application-oriented undergraduate programs in Shandong.

Tracing its roots back to 1941, the university was officially renamed Linyi University in 2010 after several transformations. The campus covers approximately 6000 mu (400 hectares) with over 1.19 million square meters of building space, hosting nearly 50,000 full-time students.

Linyi University is recognized as an 'Excellent University for Undergraduate Teaching Level Evaluation' by the Ministry of Education. It offers 5 first-level master's degree disciplines and 21 professional master's degree categories, covering sciences, engineering, humanities, economics, management, law, and education.

Flagship programs include Chemistry, Engineering, and Education, with Chemistry ranking in the top 1% of ESI globally. The university maintains strong ties with local enterprises through industry-academia platforms, ensuring high graduate employment rates.

LYU has over 2,900 faculty and staff members, including a high proportion of senior professors and several provincial teaching masters. It comprises 27 teaching units offering 82 undergraduate programs, with curricula emphasizing the integration of theory and practice through school-enterprise cooperation.

Research is supported by multiple provincial key laboratories, engineering research centers, and humanities bases, such as the Shandong Key Laboratory of Tumor Marker Detection. The university has undertaken hundreds of national and provincial research projects in recent years.
