Gannan Medical University

Located in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, Gannan Medical University is a full-time undergraduate medical institution run by the Jiangxi Provincial Government. It is a pilot university for the Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program and a first-class discipline construction university in Jiangxi.

The university traces its origins to the Jiangxi Provincial Ganzian Senior Midwifery Vocational School founded in 1941, and was renamed Gannan Medical University in 2023 with approval from the Ministry of Education. The university has three campuses: Rongjiang, Zhanggong, and Longnan, covering a total area of over 2,600 mu.

Gannan Medical University's flagship programs include Clinical Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Technology. Clinical Medicine is a national first-class undergraduate program, and Nursing is a provincial specialty.

As a pilot university for the Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program, the university enjoys a strong reputation in medical talent cultivation. It offers 4 first-level master's degree disciplines and 7 professional master's degree programs, covering basic medicine, clinical medicine, pharmacy, and nursing.

The university comprises 18 faculties and departments, offering 31 undergraduate programs. It has a strong faculty of 1,117 full-time teachers, with over 40% holding senior professional titles and a growing proportion holding doctoral degrees.

The total value of teaching and research equipment is 345.7 million yuan. The university houses several provincial key laboratories and engineering research centers, such as the Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Cerebrovascular Diseases and the Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Medical Imaging.

The university has three campuses: Rongjiang, Zhanggong, and Longnan, all featuring beautiful green environments. The Rongjiang campus is the main campus, equipped with modern teaching buildings, laboratories, a library, and sports facilities.

The library holds 1,468,500 paper books and 2,272,100 electronic books, offering rich learning resources. Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet access, ensuring comfortable living.
