Shenyang Sport University

Shenyang Sport University, located in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province, is a full-time undergraduate institution focused on sports science and related disciplines. Founded in 1954 as the Northeast Institute of Physical Education and renamed in 1956, it is now under the administration of Liaoning Province and jointly supported by the General Administration of Sport of China.

As a key university in Liaoning's first-class university initiative, it is dedicated to training high-level sports professionals and advancing sports research. The university has two campuses: the main campus and Baiqingzhai campus, covering about 112.6 hectares.

Shenyang Sport University's strengths lie in winter sports, competitive training, and sports science research. As the only sports-specific undergraduate university in Liaoning, it has unique advantages in winter events. The Baiqingzhai campus boasts an international-standard ski resort and ice training base, producing many talents for China's winter sports.

The university excels in freestyle skiing, speed skating, and other events, winning national and international awards. It also has strong programs in physical education, sports training, and human movement science, with one first-level master's degree authorization and multiple professional master's programs.

The university offers 14 undergraduate programs covering physical education, sports training, social sports guidance, human movement science, and sports economics. It has a first-level master's degree in sports science and professional master's degrees in physical education teaching and sports training.

The faculty of nearly 700 includes many senior professors, national referees, and coaches. Emphasizing theory-practice integration, the university operates laboratories in human movement science and sports information technology, with equipment valued at nearly 200 million yuan.

The main campus near Beiling in Shenyang features a pleasant environment, convenient transportation, and complete facilities including standard tracks, gymnasiums, and a swimming pool. Baiqingzhai campus, located in the southern mountains, focuses on winter sports training with an international-standard ski slope and ice rink, ideal for winter athletes.
