University of Science and Technology Liaoning

Located in Anshan, Liaoning Province, University of Science and Technology Liaoning (USTL) is a public multidisciplinary university with engineering as its core, complemented by science, economics, management, humanities, law, and arts.

Founded in 1948 and originally named Anshan Iron and Steel Institute, USTL is one of China's earliest metallurgical universities. It is a key construction university under Liaoning Province's first-class university initiative, selected for the Ministry of Education's Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program and the National New Engineering Research and Practice Project.

USTL's core strength lies in its deep roots in metallurgical engineering and strong industry reputation. As a pioneer in China's metallurgical education, its programs in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering are highly regarded, especially in steel metallurgy.
