Jining Medical University

Jining Medical University (JNMU) is located in Jining City, Shandong Province, with three campuses in Taibai Lake, Rencheng, and Rizhao, covering over 1.31 million square meters. As a public full-time undergraduate university under Shandong Province, it is among the first batch selected for the National Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program and the Shandong Application-Oriented Undergraduate University Construction Program.

JNMU is renowned for its psychiatry program, being one of the four earliest and largest universities in China to offer this undergraduate major. The university emphasizes internationalization, collaborating with institutions worldwide to provide a diverse learning environment.

JNMU's flagship program is psychiatry, with a long history and the largest enrollment among Chinese universities offering this major. Its clinical medicine discipline ranks in the top 5‰ of ESI, and pharmacology & toxicology in the top 1%, reflecting strong research capabilities.

The university is a national pilot for the Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program and a Shandong Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program supporter, emphasizing applied talent development. It hosts one postdoctoral research station, three master's degree authorization points, and 13 key disciplines.

JNMU comprises 19 teaching units offering 34 undergraduate programs across medicine, science, engineering, and management. The faculty includes 1,288 full-time teachers, 588 with senior titles, and 681 doctoral/master's supervisors, including 4 Taishan Scholar distinguished experts and 14 Taishan Scholar young experts.

The curriculum integrates theory with practice, featuring cooperative practice bases with local disease control centers. Research strengths include psychiatry, clinical medicine, and pharmacology, supported by a postdoctoral station and 13 key disciplines.

JNMU's three campuses (Taibai Lake, Rencheng, and Rizhao) cover a total building area of 571,000 square meters. The campuses feature modern facilities, including libraries, labs, and sports venues, with teaching and research equipment worth over 54 million RMB.
