Guangxi University of Science and Technology

Guangxi University of Science and Technology (GXUST) is located in Liuzhou, a national historical and cultural city and a major industrial center and transportation hub in Southwest China. It is a key regular higher education institution supported by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, authorized to confer bachelor's and master's degrees.

GXUST is a pilot university for the 'Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program' and a selected institution for the 'New Engineering Research and Practice Project,' as well as a Guangxi first-class discipline construction university.

GXUST's flagship programs are in engineering and medicine. It boasts 4 national first-class undergraduate programs, including Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Clinical Medicine. As a Guangxi first-class discipline university, its disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Technology, and Clinical Medicine have strong regional influence.

Being a 'New Engineering' pilot university, GXUST excels in smart manufacturing, new energy vehicles, and biomedicine. With two directly affiliated hospitals, its medical education integrates theory and practice, producing graduates highly regarded in Guangxi and beyond.

GXUST has a faculty of nearly 1,900, with a high proportion of senior professors, many with overseas experience. It offers 69 undergraduate programs across engineering, medicine, management, science, humanities, law, and arts, emphasizing practical and applied learning.

The 'Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program' adopts a '5+3' integrated model for medical students, leveraging rich clinical resources. Research platforms include the Guangxi Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base, multiple provincial key laboratories (e.g., Guangxi Key Laboratory of Sugar Resources Green Processing, Guangxi Key Laboratory of Automotive Parts and Vehicle Technology), and engineering research centers.

GXUST has three distinct campuses: Wenchang (main campus) with modern buildings and a library; Liushi (medical campus) adjacent to affiliated hospitals for clinical practice; and Liudong (new campus) surrounded by high-tech industries for industry integration.

The total area is nearly 2,800 mu (187 ha), with over 830,000 sqm of buildings and a per-student teaching equipment value of 23,500 RMB. Dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet. Multiple canteens offer diverse cuisines, including halal options.
