Guizhou Education University

Guizhou Education University is located in Wudang District, Guiyang City, the capital of Guizhou Province. It is a provincial public full-time undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education. The university originated from Guizhou Education College, founded in 1978, and was restructured into a full-time undergraduate institution in March 2009, renamed Guizhou Education University.

It obtained the qualification to confer bachelor's degrees in 2012, became a project construction unit for master's degree authorization in Guizhou Province during the 13th Five-Year Plan period in 2016, and successfully completed the undergraduate education and teaching audit evaluation as the first pilot unit for ministry-provincial collaboration in Guizhou in 2023.

Guizhou Education University has a traditional strength in teacher education and serves as a key base for training basic education teachers in Guizhou Province. It boasts several provincial-level first-class programs and distinctive majors, such as Education, Chinese Language and Literature, and Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, enjoying a good reputation among normal universities.

As a selected university for the Basic Capacity Building Project for Central and Western Universities, it receives national support in infrastructure and teaching quality. In recent years, it has been approved as a provincial-level 'Double First-Class' construction project unit, with steadily improving research capabilities.

The university has a high-quality faculty of 1,094 staff members, with a high proportion of senior professional titles, and many teachers enjoy special allowances from the State Council or are selected for provincial talent programs.

It emphasizes teaching reform and innovation, implementing the 'Excellent Teacher Training Program' to strengthen practical teaching. In research, it has several provincial key laboratories and humanities and social science research bases, such as the Guizhou Education Development Research Center and the Guizhou Key Laboratory of Big Data and Educational Intelligence, focusing on education science, ethnic culture, and ecological environment.

The campus is located in Wudang District, Guiyang, with a beautiful environment and high green coverage, earning the title of 'Green University'. Teaching facilities are advanced, including multimedia classrooms, smart laboratories, a gymnasium, and a standard track and field.
