The National Police University for Criminal Justice

The National Police University for Criminal Justice (NPUCJ), located in Baoding, Hebei Province, is the only full-time regular higher police institution directly under the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China.

As the highest institution of China's judicial administration system, it is renowned as the 'Cradle of Judicial Police Officers,' undertaking the mission of cultivating reserve talents for the judicial administration system, training leading cadres and senior police officers, and conducting theoretical research on judicial administration.

NPUCJ's core strength lies in its uniqueness and authority within the industry. As the only police university directly under the Ministry of Justice, it holds national leadership in disciplines such as penology, correctional education, and judicial police science.

The penology program is a nationally recognized specialty, and its Juris Master program (serving national special needs) is highly regarded. Known as the 'Cradle of Judicial Police Officers,' its graduates are widely distributed across China's judicial administration system, with consistently high employment rates.

The university comprises 10 teaching units offering 15 undergraduate programs and directions, including law, penology, criminal investigation, and public administration. The faculty of 522 includes over 40% with senior professional titles, many serving as expert advisors to the Ministry of Justice.

The curriculum integrates 'police-style management' with professional training: students undergo rigorous physical and police skills training while systematically studying law, criminology, psychology, and other theoretical subjects.

Located in Baoding, the campus enjoys convenient transportation, about 140 km from Beijing. The environment is pleasant with high greenery coverage and elegant architecture. Facilities include modern teaching buildings, a library, gymnasium, shooting range, and moot court.
