Jiangsu University of Technology

Jiangsu University of Technology (JSUT) is a public undergraduate university located in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, with a strong focus on engineering and multidisciplinary development. Founded in 1984 as Changzhou Vocational Normal College, it has evolved into a master's degree-granting institution and received an excellent rating in the Ministry of Education's undergraduate teaching evaluation.

The university enrolls over 20,000 full-time undergraduates (including international students) and more than 1,200 master's students, supported by over 1,600 faculty and staff. Its campus spans over 500,000 square meters, with teaching and research equipment worth over 320 million RMB and a library holding nearly 2 million volumes.

JSUT's core strength lies in its national leadership in vocational teacher training, being one of China's first key bases for this field, often called the 'cradle of vocational teachers.' The university excels in engineering disciplines such as mechanical engineering, electronic information, and resource recycling.

It offers 14 master's degree programs and 64 undergraduate majors, several of which are recognized as provincial first-class programs. In the 2024 Soft Science China University Rankings, JSUT ranked 317th, reflecting its solid reputation among similar institutions.

The university boasts a faculty of nearly 1,300 full-time teachers, many with senior titles and overseas experience. Academically, JSUT offers 64 undergraduate and 14 master's programs across engineering, science, economics, management, humanities, law, and arts, with a curriculum that balances theory and practice.

Courses are designed to meet industry needs, fostering applied skills. Research is supported by provincial-level platforms like the Jiangsu Vocational and Technical Education Research Center and the Resource Recycling Research Institute, which have undertaken numerous national and provincial projects.

The campus features a green environment with over 500,000 square meters of buildings, modern laboratories, a library, and sports facilities. Student dormitories are well-equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet access.

On-campus amenities include multiple canteens, supermarkets, and bank branches. Convenient transportation connects the campus to Changzhou's railway station and airport. An international student service center offers comprehensive support for visa, accommodation, and cultural adaptation.
