Overview
Jinling Institute of Technology (JIT) is a full-time comprehensive public university located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, dedicated to cultivating high-quality applied talents. It is a strategic research unit for the reform pilot of application-oriented universities under the Ministry of Education, a founding member of the China Alliance of Applied Technology Universities, and the chair unit of the Yangtze River Delta Applied Undergraduate Universities Alliance.
JIT originated from Jinling Vocational University (the first full-time urban vocational university in China, founded in 1980) and Nanjing Agricultural College (founded in 1958, reestablished in 1984). The two merged in 2002 and officially became Jinling Institute of Technology in 2005.
