Wenzhou University of Technology

Wenzhou University of Technology (WZUT) is a provincial public undergraduate university located in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. Established in 2000 as Oujiang College of Wenzhou Normal College, it was officially transformed into Wenzhou University of Technology in 2021 with approval from the Ministry of Education.

As a pilot demonstration school for application-oriented construction in Zhejiang, WZUT is dedicated to cultivating high-quality applied talents that meet the needs of regional economic development and industrial upgrading.

WZUT's strengths lie in its innovation and entrepreneurship education and application-oriented talent cultivation. It is a national innovation experimental zone for entrepreneurship education and hosts a national mass innovation space, providing full support from idea to startup.

In intelligent manufacturing, the university is a Ministry of Education base project school for Sino-foreign cultural and people-to-people exchange, collaborating with enterprises on training bases. As a BGA international certification member, its business programs meet global standards.

WZUT boasts a highly qualified faculty of 703, with over 40% holding senior titles and many having overseas study or industry experience. The curriculum emphasizes theory-practice integration through project-based learning and a dual-tutor system involving both academic and industry mentors.

Students engage in real-world projects from early on. Research platforms include provincial key laboratories and engineering technology centers, as well as numerous industry-university cooperation bases with local enterprises.

WZUT has two campuses: Binhai and Yueqing, covering a total area of about 1,480 mu. The Binhai campus blends modern architecture with natural landscapes, featuring a library, labs, and sports facilities. The Yueqing campus, with an investment of 2.42 billion yuan, offers 409,000 square meters of buildings equipped with smart classrooms, maker spaces, and advanced labs.

Student dormitories are four-person rooms with air conditioning, private bathrooms, and internet access. Multiple dining halls serve Chinese and Western cuisine. Sports facilities include a standard track field, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a swimming pool.
