Hubei University of Education

Hubei University of Education (HUE), also known as 'Hubei Ershi', is situated in Wuhan, Hubei Province, at the core of China's Optics Valley. It is a provincial public undergraduate university that specializes in teacher education while also fostering disciplines such as economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, management, and art.

Tracing its roots back to the Hubei Provincial Education College founded in 1931, the university was restructured into its current form with approval from the Ministry of Education in 2007. As a pilot university for the Ministry of Education's Artificial Intelligence Empowering Teacher Development initiative and a participant in the 'Internet + Made in China 2025' industry-education integration plan, HUE actively embraces the convergence of technology and education.

Hubei University of Education's core strengths lie in its deep-rooted teacher education heritage and its ability to integrate cutting-edge technology. As the leading university for Hubei Province's 'Excellent Teacher Plan', HUE enjoys a strong reputation in teacher training, with 23 national and provincial first-class undergraduate program construction sites, including flagship majors like Education, Chinese Language and Literature, and Mathematics and Applied Mathematics.

Simultaneously, the university is a designated unit for the national 'Key Talent Training Action Plan for the Electronic Information Industry', demonstrating a distinctive industry-education integration feature in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, big data, and smart manufacturing.

The university comprises 14 teaching colleges offering 60 undergraduate programs. It has a faculty of 1,067 full-time teachers, including 401 with senior professional titles, and the proportion of doctoral degree holders is steadily increasing.

HUE boasts 121 national and provincial first-class courses, high-quality resource-sharing courses, and master teacher classes, with a curriculum that emphasizes the integration of theory and practice. In research, the university hosts several provincial key laboratories and humanities and social science research bases, focusing on basic education reform, AI applications in education, and optoelectronic information technology.
