Changchun University

Located in Changchun, the capital of Jilin Province, Changchun University (CCU) is a comprehensive university with a multidisciplinary focus. Its history dates back to 1949, and it was formed in 1987 through the merger of several institutions.

The university now has three campuses covering 1.02 million square meters. As one of China's pioneers in higher special education, CCU is renowned for its programs for students with disabilities and houses Asia's first higher special education college.

CCU's flagship programs include Special Education, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, and Business Administration. Its Special Education program was the first undergraduate program of its kind in China and is a national-level characteristic specialty.

The university houses Asia's earliest higher special education college, leading the field in disability education and research. Additionally, CCU boasts 2 national-level and 8 provincial-level characteristic specialties, 3 doctoral-level cultivation disciplines, 9 first-level master's degree programs, and 15 professional master's programs.

CCU has a highly qualified faculty of 1,279, with a significant proportion holding senior titles and many having overseas experience. It comprises 20 teaching faculties offering 49 undergraduate programs. The curriculum balances theory and practice, with a credit system that encourages interdisciplinary learning and innovation.

Research is supported by provincial key laboratories and engineering centers, such as the Jilin Special Education Big Data Engineering Research Center and the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Laboratory. CCU actively engages in international academic exchanges, hosting international conferences and collaborating on research projects.

CCU's main campus is located in central Changchun, offering convenient access to public transportation and city amenities. The green and well-maintained campus features modern teaching buildings, a comprehensive library, state-of-the-art laboratories, a sports complex, and comfortable student dormitories.
