Baotou Medical College

Baotou Medical College, Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology, located in Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is a regular undergraduate medical institution approved by the regional government. Founded in 1958, it has grown into a key medical education base in Inner Mongolia over six decades.

The college has two campuses, Donghe and Qingshan, covering 700,000 square meters with a building area of 301,900 square meters. It comprises 16 teaching units offering 28 undergraduate programs, including clinical medicine, preventive medicine, medical laboratory science, and nursing.

The college's flagship programs include clinical medicine, preventive medicine, and medical laboratory technology, with clinical medicine recognized as a national-level specialty and preventive medicine highly regarded in public health.

It has 17 affiliated hospitals, including 2 directly affiliated, offering extensive clinical training and practice. In 2024, it was authorized to confer doctoral degrees, marking a major milestone in medical education. The college leads medical education in Inner Mongolia, with consistently high graduate employment rates.

The college emphasizes both teaching and research, offering 1 first-level doctoral program, 5 first-level master's programs, and 6 professional master's categories. Among 561 full-time teachers, there are 65 professors, 183 associate professors, 89 with doctoral degrees, and 87.9% holding master's or doctoral degrees.

Additionally, 2,462 clinical teachers form a high-level dual-qualified teaching team.
