Qiqihar University

Located in Jianhua District, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, on the Nenjiang Plain, Qiqihar University is the only provincial comprehensive public university in western Heilongjiang. Founded in 1952 and formed in 1995 through the merger of Qiqihar Institute of Light Industry and Qiqihar Normal College, it is now a university with Heilongjiang Province's 'Double First-Class' characteristic disciplines and is authorized to recommend outstanding graduates for master's programs without entrance exams.

Covering multiple disciplines including science, engineering, humanities, law, economics, management, education, and arts, the university is committed to providing quality higher education for both domestic and international students.

Qiqihar University's strengths lie in light industry technology and engineering, chemical engineering and technology, and education. Light industry technology and engineering is a provincial characteristic discipline with strong industry reputation.

The university offers 18 first-level master's degree authorization disciplines and 16 professional master's degree categories, covering various applied fields. As a key university under Heilongjiang's higher education strengthening plan, it excels in food science, materials science, and bioengineering, with high graduate employment rates.

Qiqihar University comprises 23 colleges and departments, offering 77 undergraduate programs. With 1,603 full-time faculty members, over 50% hold senior professional titles, ensuring strong teaching quality.
