Shandong University of Political Science and Law

Shandong University of Political Science and Law (SDUPSL) is a full-time public university located in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province. It is a member of the 'Lige Alliance' of national political science and law universities and the 'Belt and Road' University Alliance, reflecting its commitment to international cooperation.

The university traces its roots to 1955 and was officially established in 2007. In 2024, it was authorized to confer master's degrees in law. With a campus covering 860 mu (about 57 hectares) and over 12,000 students, SDUPSL focuses on cultivating high-quality legal talents with a global perspective.

SDUPSL's flagship programs are in law, with two national first-class undergraduate programs (Law and Prison Science) and four provincial first-class programs. Its teaching teams in criminal law and procedural law are recognized as provincial-level excellent teams.

Courses such as Economic Law Principles and Practice and Criminology have been designated as national first-class courses. The university enjoys a strong reputation in Shandong's legal system, often called the 'cradle of legal talents.' As a member of the Lige Alliance, it shares resources with top Chinese law schools.

The university comprises 12 teaching units offering 28 undergraduate programs across law, economics, literature, and management. Law is the core discipline, with specialized programs in intellectual property and community corrections.

SDUPSL emphasizes practical training, featuring eight on-campus training centers including moot courts and legal clinics. The curriculum integrates case studies and professional practice, with over 20 practitioner forums inviting judges, prosecutors, and lawyers.

The campus in Jinan features a green and pleasant environment, covering 860 mu with a building area of 279,400 square meters. Teaching and research equipment is valued at nearly 100 million yuan. The library offers extensive collections and electronic resources.

Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning and hot water, ensuring comfortable living. Multiple canteens serve diverse cuisines. Sports facilities include a track field, basketball courts, and tennis courts. The university also has a student activity center and entrepreneurship incubation base.
