University Profile

Introduction

A space-engineering-focused applied university in China, jointly built with aerospace giants, cultivating international talents in engineering and innovation.

Overview

North China Institute of Aerospace Engineering (NCIAE), also known as Huahang, is located in Langfang City, Hebei Province, in the core area of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, just 40 minutes by high-speed rail from Beijing.

It is a full-time public undergraduate university jointly established by the Hebei Provincial Government, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), and the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense (SASTIND).

Features & strengths

NCIAE's core strength lies in its deep aerospace industry background and close university-enterprise cooperation. It is a demonstration school for transformation and innovation in Hebei Province, offering master's degrees in aerospace engineering, electronic and communication engineering, and mechanical engineering.

The first-level discipline of Aerospace Science and Technology is a key master's program, and professional master's programs in Electronic Information and Machinery are highly regarded. The university jointly builds multiple laboratories and research centers with CASC and CASIC, allowing students to participate in real aerospace projects.

Teaching & research

NCIAE has 14 teaching units offering 53 undergraduate programs across engineering, science, management, economics, arts, and law. The faculty includes over 1,100 staff, with more than 40% holding senior titles, many with aerospace industry or overseas study backgrounds.

The university implements an 'Aerospace+' curriculum, integrating real aerospace engineering cases into teaching to enhance practical skills. It hosts a national-level aerospace virtual simulation experimental teaching center and a Hebei provincial collaborative innovation center for aerospace remote sensing information processing and application.

Campus & facilities

NCIAE's campuses are beautifully landscaped with high greenery coverage and modern teaching facilities. The East and West campuses are located in downtown Langfang, with convenient transportation and complete living amenities.

The Gu'an campus is newly built with state-of-the-art infrastructure. The library holds a rich collection, including a special aerospace database. Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and private bathrooms, ensuring comfortable living.
