Jiamusi University

Jiamusi University (JMSU) is located in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, in the northeastern part of China, near the Russian Far East, offering unique geographical advantages for international exchange. Founded in 1947 and reorganized in 1995 through the merger of Jiamusi Medical College, Jiamusi Institute of Technology, Jiamusi Teachers College, and the former Jiamusi University, it is a comprehensive university covering medicine, engineering, science, humanities, law, economics, education, and arts.

As a key high-level university in Heilongjiang Province, JMSU is part of the National Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in Central and Western China. It was recognized as a Heilongjiang Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform Demonstration University in 2017 and designated as a key university for platform economy and digital economy in 2022.

Jiamusi University's flagship programs are in medicine and materials science. It offers two first-level doctoral programs in Basic Medicine and Materials Science and Engineering, along with 14 first-level master's programs and 16 professional master's categories.

The medical discipline traces back to 1947 and has become a key medical talent training base in Heilongjiang, with affiliated hospitals highly regarded in regional healthcare. The Materials Science and Engineering program excels in metal and polymer materials, undertaking numerous national research projects.

Jiamusi University comprises 26 colleges offering 84 undergraduate programs across medicine, engineering, science, humanities, law, economics, education, and arts. The faculty includes over 3,800 staff, with a high proportion of senior professors and many recognized at provincial or national levels.

The university emphasizes practical learning, with advanced laboratory equipment worth 450 million yuan. It houses several provincial key laboratories and engineering research centers, such as the Heilongjiang Key Laboratory of Biomedical Materials and the Heilongjiang Key Laboratory of Stomatology.

Jiamusi University has four campuses with a green and pleasant environment, experiencing four distinct seasons. The main campus (First School District) houses administrative offices, main teaching buildings, and the library.

Student dormitories are well-equipped with air conditioning, internet, and shared laundry facilities. Multiple canteens offer diverse cuisines, including halal options. Sports facilities include a gymnasium, track field, basketball and tennis courts.
