Panzhihua University

Located in Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province, at the border of southwestern Sichuan and northwestern Yunnan, Panzhihua University is a comprehensive undergraduate institution with a strong emphasis on engineering. It is authorized to confer master's degrees.

Founded in 1983 as a junior college, it was upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting university in 2001 and gained master's degree authorization in 2021. The campus covers about 1,450 mu (approx. 240 acres) with 434,800 square meters of building space and a library holding 3.6 million volumes.

Panzhihua University is renowned for its engineering programs, particularly in vanadium-titanium new materials, intelligent manufacturing, and ICT (Information and Communication Technology). It is a second-phase partner in the Ministry of Education-ZTE ICT Industry-Education Integration Innovation Base, deeply integrating industry needs into education.

The Vanadium-Titanium Advanced Materials Modern Industry College is among the first batch of modern industry colleges in Sichuan Province, leveraging the region's rich vanadium-titanium resources. The university offers one first-level master's degree program and 11 professional master's degree programs in fields like materials, chemical engineering, mechanics, and electrical engineering.

The university offers 61 undergraduate majors spanning engineering, science, management, humanities, law, economics, medicine, and arts. It has 919 full-time faculty members, many with senior titles, supplemented by industry experts as adjunct instructors.

The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning through project-based courses and校企 joint training programs. Key research platforms include the Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory of Vanadium and Titanium Resources Comprehensive Utilization and the Sichuan Vanadium-Titanium Materials Engineering Technology Research Center, undertaking national and provincial projects.

The campus features a green and pleasant environment with modern teaching facilities. The library is well-stocked with both print and digital resources, offering ample study spaces. Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet access.

Sports facilities include a track field, basketball courts, and tennis courts. Multiple canteens serve a variety of cuisines. The affiliated tertiary A-level hospital ensures convenient healthcare. Wi-Fi covers the entire campus, and smart classrooms and labs are fitted with the latest technology to support blended learning.
