Hebei Finance University

Hebei Finance University is a full-time undergraduate institution located in Baoding, Hebei Province, jointly established by the central and local governments. Founded in 1952 and originally under the People's Bank of China, the university has a strong financial industry background.

It was upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting institution in 2007 and became a master's degree-granting unit in 2024. With finance as its core discipline, the university also offers programs in economics, management, law, literature, science, and engineering.

Finance is the flagship program at Hebei Finance University, which is designated as a priority financial talent training base in Hebei Province and enjoys a strong reputation in the financial industry. The university offers professional master's degrees in Finance and Applied Statistics, and was among the first in China to launch a Master of Finance program.

Graduate employment rates consistently exceed 95%, with alumni working at the People's Bank of China, major commercial banks, securities firms, and insurance companies. The university has close partnerships with banks and financial enterprises, providing students with extensive internship opportunities.

The university has a strong faculty of nearly 800 full-time teachers, over 40% of whom hold senior academic titles, and many have overseas study or research experience. The curriculum blends theory and practice, offering bilingual and English-taught courses such as Financial Risk Management, Investment, and International Finance.

Research is supported by institutes like the Finance Research Institute and the Regional Economics Research Institute, which have undertaken numerous national and provincial projects. The library holds 1.393 million print books and 503,500 e-books, along with extensive financial databases.

The campus covers over 1,000 mu (about 66 hectares) with a building area of 301,100 square meters, featuring high greenery coverage and a pleasant environment. Key buildings include modern teaching blocks, a library, a gymnasium, and a student activity center.

Dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet access, ensuring comfortable living. Multiple cafeterias serve a variety of cuisines. Sports facilities include a standard track field, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a swimming pool.
