Hubei Polytechnic University

Hubei Polytechnic University (HBPU) is located in Huangshi City, Hubei Province, along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. Founded in 1975, it started undergraduate programs in 1977 and was renamed Hubei Polytechnic University in 2011.

In 2024, it was approved as a master's degree-granting institution. HBPU is a comprehensive application-oriented university with engineering as its core, covering 8 disciplines including science, engineering, economics, management, arts, law, medicine, and education.
