Shaoguan University

Located in Shaoguan City, northern Guangdong Province, Shaoguan University is a full-time undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education. It offers programs across eleven disciplines: science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, literature, law, history, economics, management, education, and arts.

As a comprehensive application-oriented university, it is also a pilot institution for the internationalization of local higher education and a base for Chinese cultural heritage. The university traces its roots to Shaoguan Teachers College (1958) and was upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting institution in 2000.

Shaoguan University's strengths lie in its comprehensive discipline coverage, clear application-oriented focus, and deep engagement with local economic development. It offers master's degrees in Agriculture and Mechanical Engineering, with distinctive programs in agricultural science, mechanical engineering, medicine, and teacher education.

The university's campuses cover 2,571 mu (about 171 hectares), with the main Shaole Yuan campus complemented by Hanjia Shan and Huangtian Ba campuses. Total building area is 912,600 square meters. The library holds 2.93 million print books and extensive digital resources, with modern study spaces.

Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet access; canteens offer diverse cuisine. The campus is green and well-maintained, with sports facilities including a gymnasium, track field, and swimming pool.
