Jiaxing Nanhu University

Located in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, at the heart of the Yangtze River Delta economic hub, Jiaxing Nanhu College is a full-time public undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by Jiaxing Municipal Government.

Originally founded in 2003 as Nanhu College of Jiaxing University, it successfully transitioned into an independent municipal public university in 2020, becoming the first applied undergraduate institution in Zhejiang to complete such a transformation.

The college's core strength lies in its applied orientation and deep industry integration. As the only municipal public undergraduate university in Jiaxing, it focuses on building modern industrial colleges, including Health Food Digital Intelligence Management, Photovoltaic, and Fashion Design—all aligned with regional talent gaps.

With bachelor's degree-granting authority for 27 programs, its majors span economics, engineering, management, and arts, closely tied to local industries like health food, solar energy, and fashion. Strategic partnerships with leading companies such as Jiaxing Shihe provide students with direct internship and employment pathways.

Academically, the college employs over 680 staff, including nearly 460 full-time faculty, and boasts teaching equipment valued at over 100 million RMB. The curriculum emphasizes 'digital intelligence + application,' exemplified by the Health Food Digital Intelligence Management Industrial College, which integrates big data, AI, and food science, and the Photovoltaic Industrial College focusing on renewable energy.

Research platforms include the Drama Research Institute and the Local Elites and Family Traditions Research Institute, promoting interdisciplinary studies. The college has secured multiple provincial research projects and established joint labs with enterprises to facilitate technology transfer.

The campus is set in a scenic area of Nanhu District, Jiaxing, with convenient access to Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Suzhou. Covering 900+ mu (60+ hectares) with an additional 300 mu planned, it features modern architecture and high greenery.

Facilities include smart classrooms, specialized labs, and an innovation center. Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and private bathrooms, while cafeterias offer diverse cuisines. Sports amenities include a gymnasium, track field, and basketball courts.
