Yichun University

Yichun University is a full-time public undergraduate institution located in Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, China. Sponsored by the Jiangxi Provincial Government and jointly managed by the province and city, the university traces its roots to Yichun University founded in 1958.

In 2000, it was upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting institution through the merger of Yichun Teachers College, Yichun Medical College, Yichun Agricultural College, and Yichun Workers' Spare-time University. As a pilot school for the Ministry of Education's first batch of Artificial Intelligence College projects, one of Jiangxi's first transformation and development pilot universities, and a demonstration base for college student innovation and entrepreneurship, Yichun University is dedicated to cultivating applied talents that meet local economic and social needs.

Yichun University's strengths lie in its applied talent cultivation and industry-education integration. It is a pilot school for the Ministry of Education's first AI College project, giving it a first-mover advantage in AI, big data, and other emerging fields, with curricula closely aligned with industry trends.

As a member of the Ministry of Education's 'Scientific Work Ability Improvement Plan', the university emphasizes practical skills and scientific work abilities, collaborating with enterprises to build internship bases for seamless transition from study to employment.

Academically, Yichun University boasts a high-quality faculty of 1,484 staff, including 1,200 full-time teachers, many with senior titles and overseas experience. It hosts one postdoctoral research workstation and one professional master's degree program, providing platforms for advanced talent cultivation.

The curriculum emphasizes theory-practice integration, adopting small-class teaching, project-based learning, and innovative models, especially in AI and scientific work ability courses, with industry mentors and real-world projects.

Yichun University's three campuses are beautifully landscaped with lush greenery, forming a garden-style campus. The main campus is conveniently located in downtown Yichun, while the north and new campuses feature modern facilities including teaching buildings, labs, libraries, and gymnasiums.

The library offers rich collections and electronic resources. Student dormitories are comfortable with air conditioning, hot water, and private bathrooms. Multiple dining halls provide diverse cuisines. Sports facilities include a standard track field, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a swimming pool.
