Shaoyang University

Located in Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, Shaoyang University (SYU) is a full-time public undergraduate institution sponsored by the Hunan Provincial Government, dedicated to cultivating applied talents. It is authorized to confer master's degrees and recruit international students.

The campus covers 1.66 million square meters, with 879,900 square meters of building space, teaching and research equipment valued at over 300 million RMB, and a library holding 3.56 million volumes. The university comprises 22 schools offering 53 undergraduate programs across 11 disciplines: economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, and arts, serving nearly 28,000 full-time students.

Shaoyang University excels in applied talent development. It is a pilot institution for the Ministry of Education's undergraduate program comprehensive reform and a pilot for the 'Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program,' highlighting its strong medical programs.
