Henan University Of Engineering

Henan University of Engineering (HEU) is a provincial public undergraduate institution located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, China. It focuses on applied technology education and traces its roots back to 1910 with the Henan Provincial Government-run Secondary Industrial School.

The current university was formed in 2007 through the merger of the former Zhengzhou Economic Management Cadre Institute and Henan Textile College. As a key demonstration applied technology university in Henan, HEU is dedicated to producing practice-oriented graduates who meet industry demands.

HEU has a strong historical legacy and industry reputation in textiles and coal mining, recognized as an Advanced Unit for National Coal Education and an Advanced Unit for Talent Development in China's Textile and Garment Industry.

Its flagship programs include Textile Engineering, Mining Engineering, and Mechanical Design & Manufacturing, which are closely aligned with industry needs, resulting in high graduate employment rates. The university also offers emerging fields like Industrial Software to keep pace with digital transformation.

The university boasts a faculty of nearly 1,900, including over 1,700 full-time teachers, with about 140 professors, 530 associate professors, and 620 doctoral degree holders. It features more than 20 national-level talents like National Outstanding Youth Science Fund recipients, Changjiang Scholars, and a member of the European Academy of Sciences, along with over 120 provincial-level academic leaders.

Additionally, over 100 distinguished professors, including Chinese Academy of Engineering academicians, are invited. The curriculum emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, supported by provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers and engineering training centers.

The main Longhu campus features modern teaching buildings, laboratories, and a library. Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning and hot water, ensuring comfortable living. Multiple canteens offer diverse dining options, and sports facilities include tracks, basketball courts, and a gymnasium.

The Tongbai Road and Nanyang Road campuses are conveniently located near the city center. The university emphasizes a green campus with high greenery coverage, creating a conducive learning atmosphere.
