Qilu Normal University

Qilu Normal University (QNU) is a public full-time undergraduate university located in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, China. It is one of the first batch of application-oriented undergraduate universities supported by Shandong Province.

Founded in 1948 as the College of Education of East China University, it was renamed Qilu Normal University in 2010. With a strong tradition in teacher education and a growing focus on applied disciplines, QNU aims to cultivate versatile talents with international perspectives and practical skills.

Qilu Normal University's strengths lie in three key areas. First, its deep-rooted tradition in teacher education: as a key normal university in Shandong, it has extensive experience in training K-12 teachers, and its graduates are highly regarded in local schools.

Second, its successful transformation into an application-oriented university: as a pilot institution, QNU emphasizes industry-academia integration and school-enterprise cooperation, establishing numerous internship bases with companies and schools to enhance students' practical abilities.

Academically, Qilu Normal University boasts a highly qualified faculty of over 1,100, with more than 40% holding senior academic titles. Many faculty members have been awarded provincial teaching master titles.
