Shanxi Datong University

Shanxi Datong University is situated in Datong, a historic and cultural city in Shanxi Province, China, known for the Yungang Grottoes and other UNESCO World Heritage sites. It is a provincial multi-disciplinary university co-established by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Education and the Datong Municipal Government, dedicated to cultivating high-quality applied talents for regional economic and social development.

Its educational roots trace back to the 1950s, and it was officially formed in 2006 through the merger of four institutions: Yanbei Normal College, Datong Medical College, Datong Vocational and Technical College, and Shanxi Industrial Vocational and Technical College.
