Xinxiang University

Xinxiang University is a public full-time undergraduate institution located in Xinxiang City, Henan Province, in the heart of Central China. Its educational history dates back to the Taihang Public Xinxiang Normal School founded in 1949.

In 2007, with approval from the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to an undergraduate university through the merger of Xinxiang Normal College, Pingyuan University, and Xinxiang Education College. In 2019, it was approved as a master's degree granting project construction unit in Henan Province, marking a significant step forward.

Xinxiang University focuses on cultivating applied talents through 67 undergraduate programs spanning nine disciplines including literature, science, engineering, education, economics, management, and arts. Teacher education is a traditional strength, while engineering majors like Mechanical Design and Automation, and Chemical Engineering are closely aligned with local industries.

Business programs such as Accounting and Logistics Management are also well-regarded. The university emphasizes industry-academia collaboration, with numerous internship bases co-built with enterprises, resulting in consistently high graduate employment rates.

The university boasts 1,942 faculty members, including 1,498 full-time teachers, with over 40% holding senior professional titles and more than 85% possessing doctoral or master's degrees. Teaching and research equipment totals approximately 554 million yuan, supporting provincial key laboratories and engineering research centers.

The curriculum integrates theory with practice through a credit system and mentorship program, encouraging student participation in research. The library holds 2.1 million paper books and over 650,000 electronic books, offering rich academic resources.

The campus features a pleasant environment with lush greenery, modern teaching buildings, laboratories, a library, and sports facilities. Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet access.

The dining halls offer a variety of cuisines. Convenience services such as banks, supermarkets, and a clinic are available on campus. The university also has a student activity center and an innovation and entrepreneurship incubation base, enriching extracurricular life.
