Ankang University

Located in Ankang City, Shaanxi Province, at the heart of the Qinba Mountains and along the Han River, Ankang University is a full-time public undergraduate institution jointly built by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education and the Ankang Municipal People's Government.

Its roots trace back to Ankang University founded in 1958, and it was upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting university in 2006. As a pilot university for transformation and development in Shaanxi and an application-oriented university under the Ministry of Education's Education Modernization Project, Ankang University is committed to serving local economic and social development by cultivating applied and interdisciplinary talents.

Ankang University is distinguished by its application-oriented approach, being a pilot university for transformation in Shaanxi and a key institution under the Ministry of Education's Education Modernization Project. It is also a key supported university under the Excellent Agricultural and Forestry Talent Education and Training Program and the National '13th Five-Year' Industry-Education Integration Development Project.

The university has strong programs in agriculture, forestry, teacher education, and engineering, with 41 undergraduate majors covering disciplines such as agriculture, science, engineering, literature, management, education, and arts.

The university comprises 12 schools and colleges, with 719 full-time teachers, of whom 232 hold senior professional titles and over 70% have master's or doctoral degrees. The curriculum follows a 'general education + specialized education + practical education' model, emphasizing innovation and hands-on skills.

Research focuses on local specialties, with provincial-level platforms such as the Shaanxi Key Laboratory of Sericulture and the Shaanxi Engineering Laboratory of Selenium-Enriched Foods, addressing ecological conservation, selenium resource development, and green food processing in the Qinba region.

Ankang University has two campuses: Jiangnan in the city center with convenient transportation and complete amenities, and Jiangbei in a tranquil setting with modern teaching buildings, labs, a library, and a gymnasium. The campuses are known for their high greenery coverage and are often called 'garden campuses'.

Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet access. Canteens offer a variety of cuisines to suit different tastes. International student apartments provide comfortable living conditions.
