Baoding University

Baoding University is a full-time undergraduate institution located in Baoding City, Hebei Province, adjacent to the Xiong'an New Area. With a history dating back to 1904 when it was founded as Baoding Junior Normal School, the university was upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting institution in 2007.

It is dedicated to cultivating high-quality applied talents with innovative spirit and practical ability, guided by the motto 'Virtue and Profession, Knowledge and Action.' The campus covers 874 mu (about 58 hectares) with a building area of 404,200 square meters, featuring a pleasant environment and modern facilities.

Baoding University is a recognized applied undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education. It was selected as a pilot university for the '13th Five-Year' Industry-Education Integration Development Project by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Education, and in 2021 it was designated as a pilot project for applied undergraduate education standardization by the National Standardization Administration.

The university has a strong tradition in teacher education while actively developing applied majors such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Big Data Technology, and Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering, closely aligned with regional economic needs.

The university comprises 15 schools offering 55 undergraduate programs and 3 junior college programs across disciplines including liberal arts, sciences, engineering, education, and management. It has 1,032 faculty and staff, including 687 full-time teachers, over 40% of whom hold senior professional titles, and more than 90% have master's or doctoral degrees.

Emphasizing industry-education integration, the university collaborates with enterprises to develop curricula and promotes a 'dual-qualification' teaching staff to strengthen practical training. It houses provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers, virtual simulation centers, and school-enterprise joint laboratories, providing cutting-edge research and training facilities.

The campus spans 874 mu with high greenery coverage, blending modern and historical architecture. Teaching equipment is valued at 191.88 million yuan, including smart classrooms, multimedia labs, and an engineering training center.

Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet access for comfortable living. The dining halls offer diverse cuisines to suit various tastes. Sports facilities include a track field, basketball courts, and tennis courts.
