Overview
Ordos Institute of Technology (OIT) is a full-time public undergraduate university jointly established by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Ordos City, primarily managed by the city. Located in southwestern Inner Mongolia, OIT has two campuses—Kangbashi and Dongsheng—covering a total area of about 766,000 square meters.
As a model institution for the 'Internet + Education' initiative and a postdoctoral innovation practice base in Inner Mongolia, OIT focuses on applied technology education closely aligned with local industries. Its origins trace back to three predecessor colleges: Inner Mongolia University Ordos College (founded 2008), Inner Mongolia University of Technology Mining College (founded 2007), and Inner Mongolia Medical University Ordos College (founded 1959), which merged in 2015 to form OIT.
