Henan Institute of Technology

Henan Institute of Technology (HAIT) is a provincial public full-time undergraduate university located in Xinxiang City, Henan Province. It traces its roots to the Xinxiang Heavy Industry Bureau Workers' University founded in 1975 and was upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting institution in 2016.

HAIT is positioned as an applied technology university and is recognized as a provincial demonstration university of applied technology, a model university for smart teaching construction, and a demonstration center for teacher teaching development.

HAIT is renowned for its engineering-focused programs. Electrical Engineering and Automation is a provincial first-class program, Automation is a provincial specialty program, and other programs like Smart Grid Information Engineering, Measurement and Control Technology and Instruments, Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, Computer Application Technology, and Vehicle Engineering enjoy strong reputations.

The university is a 'National Base for Practical Education and Innovation and Entrepreneurship,' highlighting its commitment to hands-on training. The faculty includes 37 high-level talents such as recipients of the National Excellent Youth Science Fund, experts receiving special government allowances from the State Council, and national/provincial teaching masters.

HAIT employs over 820 full-time teachers, including more than 150 with doctoral degrees and over 370 with senior professional titles. It boasts one 'Henan University Huang Danian-style Teacher Team' and 12 provincial-level excellent grassroots teaching organizations.

Academically, the university offers 3 national first-class undergraduate courses, 28 provincial first-class courses, and 43 provincial-level high-quality online open courses and demonstration courses. It comprises 20 teaching colleges/departments offering 37 undergraduate programs.
