Hetao college

Hetao College is a full-time public undergraduate institution located in Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor, Hetao University, was founded in 1985, and it was upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting college in 2012, renamed Hetao College.

In 2016, it gained the authority to confer bachelor's degrees and was designated as a pilot institution for comprehensive transformation, emphasizing applied talent development to meet regional economic and social needs.

Hetao College's strengths lie in its applied orientation and multidisciplinary integration. Its 39 undergraduate programs cover arts, sciences, engineering, agriculture, medicine, economics, management, and law. Programs in water conservancy, agriculture, animal husbandry, and health sciences have deep roots due to the merger of several specialized schools.

As a pilot institution for comprehensive transformation, the college promotes industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, offering abundant internship and practical training opportunities. The teaching and research equipment, valued at over 230 million yuan, supports student involvement in research projects.

Academically, Hetao College has a faculty of nearly 700 full-time teachers, many with overseas or industry experience. The curriculum emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, with each program including laboratory work, internships, and partnerships with local enterprises, hospitals, and schools.

Research platforms include multiple university-level institutes and laboratories, supported by over 230 million yuan in equipment. The 27 Chinese and foreign language databases provide access to international knowledge. The college regularly hosts academic lectures and seminars with domestic and international scholars.

The Shuanghe Campus of Hetao College, fully operational since the end of 2018, features a modern and pleasant environment. With a total building area of 438,400 square meters, it includes teaching buildings, laboratories, a library, student dormitories, canteens, and sports facilities.

The library houses 1.1 million paper books and 650,000 e-books, with 24-hour study areas. Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet access, ensuring comfortable living. The campus is green and scenic, with lakes and leisure areas ideal for study and relaxation.
