Hulunbuir University

Hulunbuir University is located in Hulunbuir City, northeastern Inner Mongolia, surrounded by the vast Hulunbuir Grassland and rich ethnic cultures. It is a full-time comprehensive public university under the administration of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Its history dates back to the founding of Hulunbuir University in 1958; it was officially established as Hulunbuir College in 1997, upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting institution in 2003, and approved as a master's degree-granting institution in 2021.

Hulunbuir University is a pilot university for transformation and development in Inner Mongolia, selected as one of the 100 universities in the national '13th Five-Year Plan' applied undergraduate industry-education integration development project, and a member of the Ministry of Education's first batch of new engineering research and practice projects.

It hosts national first-class undergraduate program construction sites and Ministry of Education characteristic program construction sites, earning a strong reputation for applied talent cultivation. Its flagship programs include master's fields in Education, Tourism Management, Agriculture, Physical Education, and Fine Arts and Calligraphy, as well as new engineering disciplines.

The university has 804 full-time faculty members, a high proportion of whom hold senior academic titles, and also invites industry experts as visiting professors. The curriculum emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, adopting an 'applied undergraduate' teaching model with extensive laboratory work, training, and fieldwork.

Research platforms include several provincial and ministerial key laboratories and engineering centers, such as the Hulunbuir Grassland Ecosystem Research Station, and the university undertakes projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation.

The university has three campuses covering a total area of 761,500 square meters, with a building area of 373,300 square meters. Facilities include modern teaching buildings, laboratories, a well-stocked library with extensive electronic resources, and sports venues.

Student dormitories are well-equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and internet access. Canteens offer a variety of cuisines, including Mongolian specialties. The campus is beautifully landscaped, adjacent to the grassland, with fresh air and convenient living conditions.
