Pingxiang University

Pingxiang University is a full-time undergraduate institution located in Pingxiang City, western Jiangxi Province, approved by the Ministry of Education. It is the only university in Pingxiang offering bachelor's degrees.

Its history dates back to 1941 when the Provincial Pingxiang Normal School was founded; it was upgraded to a university in 2013 and granted bachelor's degree authority in 2016. The campus covers about 80 hectares (1,200 mu) with a building area of over 660,000 square meters, hosting more than 13,000 full-time students.

Pingxiang University has a traditional strength in teacher education, covering multiple disciplines including education, literature, science, engineering, management, and arts, with 35 undergraduate programs. It holds the authority to confer bachelor's degrees, with teaching and research equipment valued at nearly 198 million yuan, a library holding 1.36 million print books and 1.5 million e-books.
