SHANXI COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY

Located in Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province, Shanxi College of Technology is a full-time public undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was the Modern Science and Technology College of Taiyuan University of Technology, and in 2021 it was transformed into an independent institution, Shanxi College of Technology, incorporating assets from the Shuozhou Campus of North University of China.

It became the first independent undergraduate university in Shuozhou. The university focuses on engineering, while also offering programs in science, management, humanities, and economics. It has 10 schools, 44 undergraduate programs, and about 11,500 students.

Shanxi College of Technology is known for its applied talent cultivation. Flagship programs include Inorganic Non-metallic Materials Engineering, New Energy Materials and Devices, Environmental Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, and Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, which align with strategic emerging industries in Shanxi and nationwide.

The university emphasizes industry-education integration, co-building the Pingyang Campus with Pinglu District of Shuozhou, deepening school-enterprise cooperation and offering students rich internship opportunities. It has a strong reputation in materials science, new energy, and intelligent manufacturing.

The university boasts a highly qualified faculty of 577, including 91 with doctoral degrees; 98.02% of full-time teachers hold master's or doctoral degrees, and 61 have associate senior or higher titles (including 11 flexibly introduced).

It offers 44 undergraduate programs across engineering, science, management, humanities, and economics. The curriculum emphasizes theory-practice integration, adopting project-based learning and case studies. Research is supported by multiple experimental teaching demonstration centers, engineering training centers, and school-enterprise joint labs, focusing on new materials, new energy, and intelligent manufacturing.

The campus covers 1,277.9 mu (about 85 hectares) with 485,800 square meters of buildings, featuring a beautiful environment and modern facilities. The library holds 313,500 paper books and rich digital resources. Student dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and private bathrooms.

The canteens offer diverse dining options. Sports venues, student activity centers, and entrepreneurship incubation bases are available on campus, providing convenience for study and life.
