Shanxi Institute of Energy

Shanxi Institute of Energy is a full-time application-oriented undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education and established by the People's Government of Shanxi Province. Located in Shanxi Province, the institute traces its roots back to 1984 when it was founded as Shanxi Coal Management Cadre Institute, and was officially upgraded to a bachelor's degree-granting institution in 2016.

As a key project of Shanxi Comprehensive Reform Pilot Zone and a national pilot college for 'industry-education integration' among local universities, the institute is dedicated to cultivating high-quality application-oriented talents for the energy and related industries.

Shanxi Institute of Energy is particularly strong in energy-related disciplines, especially in coal, electric power, and new energy. It is a pilot institution for application-oriented undergraduate education in Shanxi Province, and its industry-education integration model serves as a demonstration for local universities nationwide.
