Shaoxing Institute of Technology

Located in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, Shaoxing Institute of Technology is a full-time undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was Yuanpei College of Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences, and it was officially transformed into Shaoxing Institute of Technology in 2025.

The university covers an area of over 1,000 mu (about 66.7 hectares), with campuses in Nanshan and Jinghu, featuring beautiful surroundings and modern facilities. It focuses on cultivating applied and interdisciplinary talents, emphasizing industry-education integration and international cooperation, with partnerships with numerous enterprises and overseas universities.

The university's flagship programs include Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, and Computer Science and Technology, among which four programs are Zhejiang Province first-class undergraduate program construction sites, one is a provincial key program, three are provincial emerging distinctive programs, and one is a provincial advantageous distinctive program.

It emphasizes practical teaching, with one provincial experimental teaching demonstration center, one provincial key construction experimental teaching demonstration center, and one provincial off-campus practice education base for college students.

The university has 445 faculty and staff, including 414 full-time teachers and 103 part-time teachers, with many holding overseas study or visiting experience. It comprises eight second-level teaching units, including the Department of Information Engineering, Department of Economics and Management, and Department of Humanities.

The total value of teaching and research equipment exceeds 116 million RMB, and the library holds over 1.24 million volumes and nearly 300 Chinese and foreign newspapers and periodicals. The university promotes small-class teaching and project-based learning, encouraging students to participate in research projects and academic competitions.

The university campus is beautifully landscaped with high greenery coverage, featuring modern teaching buildings, laboratories, a library, and a gymnasium. Student dormitories are well-equipped with air conditioning, hot water, and private bathrooms, ensuring a comfortable living experience.
