Overview

Xinjiang University of Political Science and Law (XUPL) is a public undergraduate university specializing in political science and law, located in Tumushuk City, Xinjiang, at the heart of the Silk Road Economic Belt. Administered by the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC), the university was established in 2021 through the merger of Shihezi University Science and Technology College and the Corps Police College, with roots tracing back to a labor reform cadre school founded in 1984.

The university's close ties with local judicial and police systems provide students with hands-on practical training. Membership in the 'Lige Alliance' grants access to resources from top law schools across China, while the Silk Road University Alliance enables research on Central Asian legal systems, supporting the Belt and Road Initiative.
