YingKou Institute of Technology

Yingkou Institute of Technology (YIT) is a public full-time undergraduate institution located in Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, China. Approved by the Ministry of Education, YIT sits in the core area of the Liaoning Coastal Economic Belt, near Dalian and Shenyang, offering convenient transportation.

Its history dates back to 1958 with the founding of several colleges, and after multiple reorganizations, it was officially established as a university in 2013. YIT is dedicated to cultivating applied talents through industry-education integration and innovation entrepreneurship education, and it is recognized as a demonstration base for college student entrepreneurship incubation in Liaoning Province.

YIT's strengths lie in its applied orientation and close industry partnerships. It offers 27 undergraduate programs, including 4 provincial first-class demonstration programs, 1 applied transformation demonstration program, and 1 innovation entrepreneurship reform pilot program.

Key disciplines include engineering (mechanical, materials, chemical, electrical), science, management, and economics. The university has established 167 off-campus internship bases with enterprises, providing extensive practical training.

Academically, YIT boasts a qualified faculty of 386 full-time teachers, many with senior titles. The curriculum emphasizes small-class teaching and project-based learning to enhance practical skills. Research platforms include several provincial experimental teaching centers and modern industrial colleges, with total teaching and research equipment valued at 107 million RMB.

The library holds 825,000 paper books and extensive digital resources. YIT has signed strategic cooperation agreements with Shenyang Aerospace University, Shenyang Ligong University, and Liaoning University of Technology for joint programs and research.

The campus features a green environment with modern buildings, including teaching blocks, labs, a library, a gym, dormitories, and canteens. Dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, water heaters, and private bathrooms, ensuring comfortable living.
