Jilin Business and Technology College

Jilin Business and Technology College (JLBTC) is a finance-oriented applied undergraduate institution located in Changchun, Jilin Province, approved by the Ministry of Education. It primarily offers bachelor's programs supplemented by associate degrees.

The college traces its roots back to 1958 and was formed in 2007 through the merger of three specialized colleges: Jilin Finance and Taxation College, Jilin Business College, and Jilin Grain College. In 2014, the college moved to a modern campus at Kalun Lake.

JLBTC's strengths lie in its finance-oriented applied positioning and industry-aligned academic programs. It boasts one national-level characteristic program (e.g., accounting), four provincial-level characteristic programs, four provincial-level high-level characteristic programs, two national first-class undergraduate program construction sites, and ten provincial first-class program sites.

The college has deep ties with the finance, taxation, commerce, and grain sectors in Jilin Province and nationwide. It is a vice-chairman unit of the National Higher Finance and Economics Education Research Association, reflecting its reputation among similar institutions.

JLBTC has a well-structured faculty of 661 full-time teachers, including 343 with senior professional titles (51.89%), 70 with doctoral degrees, and 508 with master's degrees, giving a combined graduate degree ratio of over 87%.

The college emphasizes applied curriculum design with strong practical components, featuring multiple experimental training centers and school-enterprise cooperation bases. Research platforms include the Low-Altitude Economy Research Institute and the Smart Management Modern Industry College, focusing on regional economic development and industrial upgrading.

JLBTC's main campus is located by Kalun Lake in Changchun, covering 1,086,900 square meters with 384,000 square meters of green space, offering a scenic environment with distinct seasonal beauty. Modern facilities include a library, experimental training centers, teaching buildings, student apartments, dining halls, and a cultural square.

The library is well-stocked, providing quiet study spaces; training centers are equipped with advanced tools for hands-on learning. Student apartments are comfortable and convenient, while dining halls serve diverse cuisines, including local Northeast specialties.
