Tongling University

Tongling University (TLU) is a provincial application-oriented undergraduate institution located in Tongling City, Anhui Province, known for its distinctive strengths in finance and economics, robust engineering development, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Founded in 1978 and upgraded to a university in 2002, TLU now operates two campuses—Cuihu and Yuxiu—covering a total area of 1,310 mu. As one of the first batch of demonstration application-oriented undergraduate institutions in Anhui, TLU is a founding member of the Anhui Application-Oriented Undergraduate Universities Alliance, a member of the Yangtze River Delta New Business Education Alliance, and a partner institution selected for the Ministry of Education's Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchange All-Media Industry-Education Integration Base Project.

TLU's core strengths lie in its distinctive finance and economics focus and solid application-oriented positioning. As a training base for financial and economic talents in Anhui Province, it enjoys high reputation in majors such as accounting, finance, and international economics and trade, with a graduate employment rate consistently above 95%.

Meanwhile, engineering programs like mechanical design, manufacturing, and automation, as well as electrical engineering, are growing rapidly, creating a balanced profile of finance and engineering. The university is a national-level project implementation institution for the College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program, and hosts several provincial key laboratories and engineering research centers.

Tongling University boasts a well-structured faculty with rich teaching experience, comprising 1,250 staff members, over 40% of whom hold senior professional titles, and more than 85% have doctoral or master's degrees. The curriculum emphasizes the integration of theory and practice, offering multiple provincial-level quality courses and bilingual courses.

In research, TLU houses key research bases for humanities and social sciences, as well as provincial engineering technology research centers. In recent years, it has undertaken numerous national and provincial research projects, producing high-quality outcomes in finance, management, and engineering.
