Xinjiang College Of Science & Technology

Xinjiang College of Science & Technology (XJCST) is located in Korla, a rapidly developing economic hub in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Established in 2019 from the transformation of the Business College of Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics, the college has produced 20 cohorts of graduates.

It is a provincial full-time undergraduate institution with three main disciplines: engineering, finance and economics, and medicine. As a backbone member of the National Pilot City Alliance for Industry-Education Integration, XJCST emphasizes applied talent cultivation.

XJCST's strengths lie in its well-structured disciplines, strong industry-education integration, and qualified faculty. It offers 35 undergraduate programs, including 2 national first-class and 2 provincial first-class program construction sites.

As a backbone unit of the National Pilot City Alliance for Industry-Education Integration, the college collaborates closely with local enterprises, providing students with ample internships and job opportunities. The faculty comprises 768 full-time teachers, 97.4% of whom hold master's or doctoral degrees, with 67 professors and 52 associate professors.

Academically, XJCST emphasizes the integration of theory and practice. It has 11 teaching units offering 35 undergraduate programs, with curricula co-developed with industry partners to ensure relevance. The college operates 2 autonomous region-level experimental teaching demonstration centers covering engineering, medicine, and finance. Research focuses on applied projects, with faculty collaborating with local enterprises on technical solutions.

XJCST has two campuses (East and West) covering 2,838 mu (about 189 hectares) with 557,900 square meters of building space. The campuses feature modern facilities including multimedia classrooms, a library, laboratories, and sports venues.

Student dormitories offer 4- and 6-bed rooms with air conditioning and internet. Multiple canteens serve diverse cuisines. On-campus amenities include supermarkets, a clinic, and banks. Korla enjoys a pleasant climate, convenient transportation, and a low cost of living.
